We are pleased to announce that Addenbrooke's hospital will be running a Minor Injury Course for nurses who are looking to develop skills in autonomous practice in dealing with patients with minor injuries.
The course will be run by the Emergency Nurse Practitioner (ENP) service of Addenbrooke's Hospital.
The ENP service was introduced to the Emergency Department six years ago. Today it is an efficient, effective team of fifteen full time ENP’s with a wealth of knowledge and experience.
The aim of the module is to prepare experienced registered nurses working within emergency, primary care and walk-in environments to provide a high level of autonomous care for patients presenting with minor trauma.
Next course dates 2012:
26 March - 31 March
23 April - 28 April
25 June - 30 June
Teaching will be provided by experienced nurse practitioners, Emergency Department Consultants and Specialist Registrars from various specialities.
