Equipment and facilities
The Training Centre moved to purpose-built accommodation, in Newmarket, in January 2005.
Lectures are held in a conference room with dual data projection; practical sessions are held in an adjacent dedicated microscopy suite equipped with Olympus BX45 microscopes. A 16-headed microscope is used for demonstration and case discussion during courses.
The Training Centre shares accommodation with the The Pauline Cooper Cytology Laboratory.
Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
Courses are accredited for CME / CPD by relevant governing bodies including the Institute of Biomedical Science, the Royal College of Pathologists and the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.

Courses are available for medical and non-medical staff involved with the provision of a cytology service.
Accreditation of the Centre
The Centre received full NHSCSP accreditation in April 2005 by a team of assessors from the Training School Assessment Sub-Committee of the National Cervical Cytology Education and Training Committee (NCCETC).

The EECTC will augment this training portfolio subject to demand.
Anglia Cancer Network Cytology Laboratory personnel teach at the Training Centre. All staff are involved in the provision of the cytology service as part of the NHSCSP. The EECTC also invites guest speakers to participate in courses and to conduct study days.
