Blood donors required for studies on white blood cell function
Linsey Porter, a PhD student within the dept of Medicine, is recruiting for volunteers who are willing to donate between 80-240ml of blood for studies on white blood cell function.

An Addenbrooke's worker is taking on a 10k walk to raise money for charity. Mick Pilling, a clinical administrator, will participate in the Mouth Cancer Walk in Hyde Park, London next month. In 2004 he found a lump on the right side of his neck, which he was first told was just a virus, but it kept getting bigger. Soon after he had his right tonsil removed.
The 55-year-old said: "I am taking part in the walk to help other people who are going through what I went through." Mick, who lives in Haverhill, expects to raise at least 150. Donations can be made by visiting:
