Robinson Way temporary closure

18 June 2009

Robinson Way will be closed to all road users from 13.00 on Friday 19 June - 10.00 on Sunday 21 June between the main hospital roundabout and the Forvie mini roundabout.

 

These times are estimated and may vary slightly as circumstances dictate.

 

During the closure buses will not operate from the Rosie Maternity Hospital and Addenbrookes Treatment Centre bus stops on Robinson Way. This will affect the following bus services:

  • Citi 7 - Will only be picking up and dropping off at the bus station at the hospital roundabout.
  • Citi 4 - Will only be picking up and dropping off at the bus station at the hospital roundabout.
  • 31 - Will only be picking up and dropping off at the bus station at the hospital roundabout.
  • 75 - Will only be picking up and dropping off at the bus station at the hospital roundabout.
  • 114- Will only be picking up and dropping off at the bus station at the hospital roundabout.
  • H1 Shuttle Bus - will use:
    • Outpatients bus stop
    • Robinson Way bus stop outside Long Road 6th Form College

The closure is to enable a crane to lift the new modular Histopathology laboratory extension into position on Saturday afternoon. The lifting of the laboratory modules into the courtyard will take place throughout Saturday during daylight hours. The crane will then be dismantled and Robinson Way reopened Sunday morning.
