Blood donors required for studies on white blood cell function
Linsey Porter, a PhD student within the dept of Medicine, is recruiting for volunteers who are willing to donate between 80-240ml of blood for studies on white blood cell function.

An inflatable colon, purchased by the SHA bowel cancer screening quality assurance group for use around the Eastern region came to Addenbrooke's on Friday 23 July.
The event was held to help raise the awareness of bowel cancer and encourage people to take part in the screening programme. Bowel cancer screening aims to detect bowel cancer at an early stage when treatment is more likely to be effective.

The NHS Bowel Cancer Screening Programme offers screening every two years to all men and women aged 60-69 registered with a GP. From April 2010 The Cambridge Screening centre rolled out to the age extended population, to include men and women up to their 75th birthday in the Cambridgeshire and West Suffolk populations. West Essex age extension will follow in October 2010.
