Changes to visitor car parking charges from 1 July

14 June 2010

From 1 July 2010 changes to visitor car parking charges at the hospital will be implemented.

New charges...

Monday to Saturday (7am to 7pm):

 

  Current charge...              From 1 July...               
Up to 1 hour:          £1.80 Remains the same
Up to 2 hours: £3.00 Remains the same
Up to 4 hours: £6.00 £6.10 (10p increase)
Up to 6 hours: £9.00 £9.20 (20p increase)
Up to 8 hours: £12.00 £12.20 (20p increase)
Over 8 hours: £15.00 £15.30 (30p increase)

 

Evenings and Sunday parking charges will remain the same:

  • Evenings (7pm to 7am): £3.00 for any length of stay
  • Sundays (all day): £3.00 for any length of stay

 

Frequent visitor tickets - discount tickets:

  • 7-day ticket: A new £15.00 ticket, valid for up to 7 days, will be available from 1 July
  • 14-day ticket: The current £25.00 ticket, valid for up to 14 days, will still be available

 

Reason for change...

Visitor parking charges are being increased in line with national inflation and the recent increase in public transport charges.

 

Parking discounts for patients...

Parking charges for patients will not change on 1 July.
