Every year International Nurses Day is celebrated on 12 May to remember the work of Florence Nightingale. At CUH, we celebrated the work of our own nurses with a fun-packed event.. As well as displays, activities, nursing archives and a bed-making competition, a special award ceremony was also introduced by Dr Karen Castille OBE, Chief Nurse and Operating Officer, and Dr Mary Archer, Chairman. The awards were based on patient experience data and the Nursing Quality Matrix over the past year.
