Advice and information for patients and staff

 

The Information Centre aims to help patients and staff find information and give advice about health, care and benefit issues.

 

Where is it?

 

The Centre is located next to the Hospital's main entrance and is accessible to wheelchairs.

 

When is it open?

 

Monday to Thursday: 0830 to 1900 hrs

Friday: 0830 to 1800 hrs Saturday

Sunday: 1300 to 1600 hrs

 

During these times, it is staffed by Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) staff.

On some weekdays, there are people available from local advice agencies.

All the services below offer free, independent and confidential information and advice. The agencies are there to help hospital patients, carer, visitor or members of staff.

The Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB)
at Addenbrooke's

 

General, practical advice on any problems you may have with benefits, housing, employment rights, family matters, debt and the rest. Please attend at least 30 minutes before the specified closing times to ensure you will be seen.

Advice on getting private-sector housing and help for existing tenants with any problems they may have.

 

Tuesdays: 1000–1200

Disability Cambridgeshire (disability advisory service)

 

Specialist information and advice service for disabled people and carers, focusing on disabled benefits, community care, leisure, transport and access.

 

Tues and Fri: 1300–1600
