About the ward

Ward A5 is a 28 bedded mixed sex ward for both neurosurgery and neuro / oncology patients.

Finding A5

Ward A5 is on Level 5 of the A block at Addenbrooke's, which is between the main Outpatients Centre and the main reception (entrances are on level 2).

From the main hospital entrance: in the reception area turn right onto the main concourse. Turn left and go towards the main ward lifts. Before the lifts, turn left onto the long corridor and head towards Outpatients. Follow the corridor around a dog leg. The corridor then straightens out and after a short distance you will find lifts on the right hand side. (before the entrance to A2) Take the lift to the fifth floor.

For security, there is an intercom at the ward door.

If you are likely to be hospitalised for two weeks or more, your visitors can get a discounted parking ticket from the main reception. This allows you to exit from the car parks for 14 consecutive days from the day you validate the ticket.
