32nd Nepal Ear Camp - April 2008

Addenbrooke’s Audiologists Rachel Knappett and Victoria Parfect are providing audiological support to the 32nd Nepal Ear Camp in April 2008.

Audiologists from Addenbrooke’s attend the Ear Camps during their annual leave, and rely upon fund raising events and donations to pay for their flights, accommodation and provisions. Rachel recently raised £136 by selling bric-a-brac at Fordham car boot sale. She would like to thank the car boot sale organisers for waiving her fee as hers was a charitable cause. Rachel’s husband Alex, who is a skilled carpenter-joiner, is also donating the money raised from selling his hand-crafted ash-wood breadboards to the fund. Victoria’s husband, Anthony Brown, raised an amazing £2000 in sponsorship on running the recent Loch Ness marathon. He also managed to clock up a time of 3 hours 30 minutes in this, his first ever marathon. So well done Ant on a great time and a brilliant fund raising effort.

If you would like to make a donation to the ongoing Audiology Nepal Ear Camp Fund then please contact Rachel or Victoria.
