The Rosie Hospital
A new clinic has been set up to better suit the needs of teenage hearing aid users. From approximately the age of fifteen our paediatric hearing aid patients will now begin to have their review appointments with the ‘transfer Audiologist’, who will discuss when their transition to the adult Audiology service should take place. As a general rule patients will not be transferred until they are aged eighteen, or sixteen if they are going to be entering in to full time employment. During the transition the transfer Audiologist will discuss getting help with hearing loss at work and at University, and will ensure that the differences between the adult and the paediatric service are fully explained.
The transfer Audiologist is Rachel Knappett. Please get in touch if you would like any further information about this service.
