There are five Consultant Radiologists working in the Cambridge Breast Unit. We work closely with our multi-disciplinary colleagues to provide accurate diagnosis and follow-up of breast disease. We interpret patients’ Mammograms (breast X-rays), Ultrasounds and Magnetic Resonance (MR) imaging examinations looking for evidence of breast cancer or benign disease. We also use these imaging techniques to guide biopsy of breast abnormalities and cyst aspirations. This work is also undertaken by a Trainee Radiologist who is specialising in Breast Radiology and an Advanced Practitioner Specialist Radiographer.
