Example meal plan (not so healthy)

cheese wedge

 

Breakfast

Cereal with sugar and
full cream milk,

White toast with butter.

 

 

Mid morning

2 chocolate biscuits and coffee
with 2 spoons of sugar.

 

Lunch

Cheese sandwich with mayonnaise,

Crisps,

Can of coke.

 

Evening meal

Lasagne with garlic bread,

Apple pie and custard.

 

 

How could we make this healthier for your heart?

orange juice

 

Breakfast

Wholegrain cereal or porridge with semi skimmed milk and fruit to sweeten,

 

Wholemeal toast with vegetable spread,

 

Glass of fruit juice.

 

Mid morning

2 plain biscuits such as rich tea

and a coffee with sweeteners.

 

Lunch

Slice of ham with mustard and salad sandwich,

Piece of fruit.

 

Evening meal

Lasagne with side salad,

Stewed apple and low fat custard.
