These are two views of the the same stereo image of Toby - the software lets the clinician spin the image to view it from any direction.

 

The white areas in the hair and elsewhere are where not enough of the stereo camera lenses see that part of the head. As a result the computer does not have enough information to compute the image, so it leaves it blank.
