Through collaboration with the Eastern Sequence and Informatics Hub, a division of the academic department of medical genetics, we are developing a number of next generation sequencing services that will soon be offered for clinical diagnostic use.

Our primary areas of investigation encompass X exome sequencing for patient with X-linked learning disability, HLA typing for bone marrow transplantation, and ultra high-throughput amplicon based sequencing and SNP typing.

With access to equipment from the current market leaders in next generation sequencing, we are able to offer a diverse range of next generation sequencing and bioinformatics services to the clinical diagnostic community.

Currently available equipment includes:

• SOLiD 4 system from Life technologies
• GAIIx system from Illumina
• Ion Torrent PGM from Life Technologies
• GS Junior from Roche
