Endocrine testing is carried out on a daily basis by the endocrine nurses with the support of a Physicians Assistant - Linda McNally.
A nurse lead Growth Hormone clinic is held twice weekly to initiate, educate and monitor patients requiring growth hormone replacement therapy.
The endocrine nurses offer education and advice to patients and their families with hypopituitarism and hypoadrenalism for the management of their replacement therapy - this includes 'sick day rules’ for steroid replacement, as well as education regarding testosterone and growth hormone replacement. Teaching sessions are held daily on an individual basis and out of hours on a group basis, or at local patient support group meetings.
