This section specialises in the maintenance and repair of high-dependency equipment such as life-saving ventilators and anaesthetic machines. Essential support is given to the adult and paediatric Intensive Care Units, critical care units, operating theatres and the Rosie Maternity Hospital. Technicians provide an on-call service to ensure vital equipment is available and reliable in case of emergency.
