In England, Scotland and Wales, the termination operation can legally be carried out up to the 24th week of pregnancy. Most abortions are done well before week 16, and ideally before week 12 of pregnancy. This is because it is safer and easier at this time.
Before you and your doctor can arrange a termination, there are some legal requirements to fulfil. The earlier you come to talk about it, the more options you will have.
