You must have had sexual intercourse to get pregnant and you are most fertile during the few days in the middle of your menstrual cycle. You can become pregnant,
If you are NOT 'on the pill' or using other types of contraception.
Even if you haven't had your first period.
The first time you have sex.
Even if you are having your period when you have sex.
Even if the boy or man pulls out (withdraws) his penis from your vagina before he ejaculates ('comes').
Even if you are using contraception, things can go wrong if fluid from your partner's penis gets into your vagina.
Even if you have sex standing up.
Even if you don't have an orgasm (girls and women).
If you forget to take your contraceptive pill or take it too late.
Even if you squirt water into your vagina after sex, a douche, which can be harmful too.
Even if you are breastfeeding.
If you are under 50 years and have stopped having periods for less than two years, or are over 50 years and have stopped having periods for less than one year.
