The Rosie Hospital
Cambridgeshire is one of the top places to live in the UK, with low unemployment, low crime rates and a good quality of life. The Trust provides information and we have several staff-only accommodation schemes, which include:
On-site accommodation
The Trust provides a variety of on-site accommodation, which is managed by Sanctuary Housing Association.
Sanctuary manages more than 500 units of residential accommodation at the Trust’s main site, on behalf of the Trust. Applications for this accommodation cannot be made directly to Sanctuary, but through a Trust manager or college tutor.
In addition, Sanctuary has rentable accommodation in four new buildings as well as Grantchester House – all of which are based on the Trust’s main site. This is available to anyone who is working across the Addenbrooke’s site, regardless of your direct employer (terms and conditions apply).
New apartments
The new £20m purpose-built, state-of-the-art apartments were officially opened on the hospital site in 2010 and provide convenient living in 292 fully furnished en-suite rooms.
Spread across four buildings which are named after local villages – Kingston, Linton, Milton & Newton, the range of apartments include between one and six bedrooms, with a shared kitchen and living area – there are also two self contained single-occupancy flats suitable for wheelchairs.
The range of accommodation includes apartments exclusively for doctors as well as shared en-suite flats for nurses, key workers and other people employed by businesses based on the Trust site.
Rent for all of these properties is fully inclusive of all utilities and council tax.
Additionally there are a wide range of facilities you can take advantage of including broadband connection*, Digital Freeview TV aerial points in all bedrooms and lounge areas, telephone points in bedrooms, lifts to all floors and secure door entry systems. There is also a lockable bike storage with swipe card access, on-site coin operated laundry for key workers, refuse recycling and disabled parking (by application).
* Broadband provided at a charge
Grantchester House
Grantchester House is situated on the Addenbrooke's site and has 214 rooms, which are divided over 54, four-bedroomed apartments, each with a shared kitchen and bathroom facilities.
The rent for Grantchester House accommodation is inclusive of all utilities and council tax.
