Parking costs and discounts

Fees are valid from 01 April 2015.

Parking pay machines

The pay machines are found in the carparks and accept cash payments only.

If you need to draw cash, there are ATMs on site outside Barclays Bank and Costa Café on the concourse and in the main food court next to Burger King.

Claiming concessions

Patient and other concessionary tickets are available from the customer service desk which are located on level 1 in both car park 1 and 2. Proof of appointment/s or treatment will be required.

If you are claiming a concession, please do so at the time of your visit. We do not offer refunds for parking, once the fee has been paid.

Outpatients, day surgery and emergency patients

Up to 24 hours, any day £3.40

Patients receiving treatment for two or more consecutive days

Seven day ticket £3.40


Up to 1 hour: £2.70
Up to 2 hours: £3.90
Up to 4 hours: £7.20
Up to 6 hours: £11.00
Up to 8 hours: £14.20
Over 8 hours:     £17.80


Frequent visitors

Up to 7 days £18.30
Up to 14 days £31.00
  • Take the usual parking ticket as you enter the main hospital car park
  • Exchange it for a 7 day or 14 day ticket customer service desk which are located on level 1 in both car park 1 and 2
  • Pay the fee at the pay machine in the car park to validate the ticket, then keep and use this ticket each time you exit the car park for the designated period

Disabled parking

Standard and discounted parking fees for patients and visitors apply as above.

If you receive benefits

On proof of certain benefits you may be able to claim back your travel expenses and car parking fee (where applicable) from the outpatients reception desk.
