The Rosie Hospital
For a personal fair and diverse service to make sure everyone counts.
CUH is using the EDS, which is a new NHS tool for us to engage with patients, the public and staff to review our equality performance and to identify future priorities and actions.
The Trust is measured against 18 outcomes grouped into 4 EDS goals. These outcomes focus on the main issues of concern for patients, carers, communities, NHS staff and Boards.
The four goals are:
1. Better health outcomes for all |
2. Improved patient access and experience |
3. Empowered, engaged and included staff |
4. Inclusive leadership at all levels |
For each EDS outcome, there are four grades, and a RAG “plus” rating, to choose from:
The Trust has engaged with the patient, staff and the public at joint NHS community events and at staff meetings and has been rated by a community RAG rating panel on 12 January and 15 March 2012.
The Trust’s EDS RAG rating as at 15 March 2012

The Trust’s EDS agreed annual objectives for 2012/13 to address the gaps and priorities are available here:

A detailed action plan is being developed in the Trust to achieve our EDS objectives.
