Temporary closure of Robinson Way (26 July to 6 September)

13 July, 2009

From Sunday 26 July 2009 to Sunday 6 September 2009 Robinson Way will be closed to enable improvements to occur to this stretch of road. Robinson Way will be closed from the CRUK building (junction with Pubbicombe Way) to the junction with Keith Day Road.

Bus services affected

 

The following bus services will be affected but this road closure:

  • Citi 7
  • Uni 4
  • Whippet service 114 and 135

The Long Road and Treatment Centre bus stops on Robinson Way will be suspended whilst the works take place.

 

All services will be re-routed via Long Road on to Hills Road, stopping at the Addenbrooke's main bus station only.

 

 

H1 Trumpington Park and ride will be re-routed on to site via Adrian Way with a new stop at the Treatment centre (rear of the concourse). The oncology stop will be suspended permanently as the bus stop will not be suitable for the new guided buses which will be on site when the H1 bus changes to Stagecoach at the end of July. Car parks affected

 

Treatment Centre car park (patients and visitors)

Parking for patients and visitors will be restricted to just the lower level of the Treatment Centre Car Park.

 

Additional parking spaces will be available in the Main Hospital Car Park for patients and visitors. The Patient Courtesy Bus will take patients and visitors to and from the Main Hospital Car Park and the Treatment Centre.

 

During the period of works there will be no right turn from Keith Day Road into these car parks to prevent queuing on both sides of the road.

 

 

Car park P (staff)

From 26 July until 6 September the entry and exit to car park P (staff car park) will be via Keith Day road - not Robinson Way.
