New Year honour for Richard Howe
Richard Howe, retired executive director at Cambridge University Hospitals, has been recognised in the New Year honours with an MBE for services to the NHS.
Professor Patrick Sissons, Regius Professor of Physic and Head of the School of Clinical Medicine, has been knighted "for services to research and education in Clinical Medicine".
Cambridge University Hospitals has been awarded NHS Employers Equality and Diversity Partner status for 2010/2011 in recognition of its extensive work in this area. In the submission, Monica Jacot, HR project manager, highlighted the following efforts, among others:
More than 77 NHS trusts applied, and the Trust was one of only 23 to be awarded Equality and Diversity Partner status.
