As healthy as can be

10 October 2011

A four year plan to build and maintain healthy communities has been published by NHS Cambridgeshire. It sets out the commitment of NHS partners in our area to improve people’s health while making sure that NHS funding is used efficiently and in a sustainable way.

The plan, called Everyone in Cambridgeshire – as healthy as can be, is available on the NHS Cambridgeshire website and is part of an NHS  region-wide strategy focusing on quality, innovation, productivity and prevention.

> NHS Cambridgeshire’s QIPP and reform plan

Some of the areas the plan focuses on are long term conditions such as diabetes, providing care closer to home, encouraging healthy lifestyles, improving care for the elderly and vulnerable, and developing mental health services.
