The Deakin Centre was officially opened this week by Daphne Deakin - the wife of former Cambridge University Hospital's Trust chairman Tony who the centre is named in honour of.

The following positions are available in this year's elections:
The public constituency and staff constituency nominees will be appointed unopposed as the number of candidates matched the number of positions available. There will only be an election for the patients' constituency.
Ballot papers will be distributed to qualifying members on Wednesday 25 April 2012.
Completed ballot papers must be received by the Independent Scrutineer (Electoral Reform Services) by Wednesday 16 May 2012 at 12 noon.
