Addenbrooke's Life

Non clinical services

Addenbrooke's Life is a health and wellbeing programme for staff at Cambridge University Hospitals.

The aim of the programme is to create a workplace where all staff are happy, healthy, engaged, motivated and productive.

Our strategy focuses on three areas:

  • Healthy lifestyle - challenging poor health and promoting healthy activities

  • Inner wellbeing - encouraging time out to relax, reflect and de-stress

  • Having fun - creating a community culture through social events

Here are just some of the activities that Addenbrooke's Life has organised:

  • Fireworks night
  • Staff poetry and painting competition
  • Staff health testing days
  • Lunchtime walks
  • Pamper sessions - manicure and shoulder massages
  • Get Healthy Campaign to help you loose weight and get active
  • Book clubs
  • Football and other sport activities
  • A comprehensive staff intranet site with information on all events and initiatives as well as health promotion signposting and information.
