Addenbrooke's Archives

Exhibitions

Temporary exhibitions in the boardroom

Material from the archives is displayed in the boardroom in secure display cases. The contents of the cases are changed every three months.

History boards in the boardroom

There are 12 history boards in the boardroom that give a brief history of the Addenbrooke’s.

If the boardroom is not in use you are all welcome to view the material on exhibition.

Talks

The Archivist has prepared PowerPoint presentations for delivery at local interest groups on a range of topics relating to the history of the hospital. These include ‘The History of the Hospital’, ‘The Story of Nursing at Addenbrooke’s’ and ‘Addenbrooke’s and its link with the University Medical School’.

Historical and family history societies, Women’s Institutes, Townswomen’s’ Guilds, and schools are some of the groups that the Archivist has given presentations to about the hospital and its history.

The Archivist does not charge a fee for talks, but a donation to Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust (ACT) is always welcome.
