The Rosie Hospital
There are three books of remembrance housed in individual oak cabinets at the back of the chapel. One recalls members of the hospital staff who have died; an other babies who have been cared for in The Rosie Hospital and the other children – all of whose precious, lives are affectionately recorded.
The pages in the remembrance books are turned daily in order to display the correct date. If however, you wish to see another special date, keys are kept in the chaplaincy office and at Addenbrooke’s main reception and you are welome to spend some time honouring and remembering your loved one(s).
Rosie remembrance book
Entries in the remembrance book are made at regular intervals by a professional calligrapher (there is no charge for this service). We have suggested a limit of approx. 25 words for practical reasons because there are two days to a page. To make an entry in the remembrance book, please provide the chaplaincy with the following information:
name to be entered
date of entry
any short message you would like (approximately 25 words)
your authorisation signature
your name printed clearly
relationship to deceased
date of request
