Rotation programme

...for newly qualified nurses - band 5

If you have been qualified for 6 months or less this structured programme will allow you to consolidate your training and gain valuable experience in a wide range of clinical settings. Whatever your nursing ambitions, by undertaking a rotational programme at Cambridge University Hospitals, you will gain valuable experience and new skills to fulfil your potential.

 

Our aim is to enhance the transition from student to registered practitioner in a supportive environment.

Cross Speciality Rotation Programme

We are offering 3x 6 month placements. The next cross speciality programme is due to commence in March 2010.

 

 

Aims of the rotation programme:

  • To provide you with support and to enhance the transition period from student to registered practitioner.

  • To provide structured learning opportunities to enable you to gain wide nursing experience.

  • To help you develop your full potential as a nurse.

  • To give you a permanent employment opportunity with the Trust.

 

Support structure includes:

  • Preceptorship

  • Monthly support sessions

  • Leadership Development

  • 2 study days per placement – for example, Medication Safety

 

Guaranteed employment at the end of the rotation

 

Whatever your nursing ambitions, by undertaking a rotational programme at Addenbrooke's, you will gain valuable experience and new skills to fulfil your potential.
