The Rosie Hospital
Elizabeth (or Beth as she is known to her colleagues) is a healthcare assistant who works with tracheostomy patients on Ward M5 in the Addenbrooke's Treatment Centre (ATC). She won this award after receiving an impressive number of nominations from colleagues and patients who praised her for her kind nature and helpful attitude at work.
She was overwhelmed with her prize and framed certificate and thanked everyone for their nominations, "I try and put myself in the patients position and feel what they are feeling - that way I know that I am doing my best for them. I'm very humbled to have won this award".
Many of you will recognise Ken's friendly face as he's well known to staff for making and remembering their favourite cups of coffee. Ken, known to many as 'Ken the coffee man', has been working at the Trust for over 15 years as a valued member of the Medirest team, and he's won this award for his consistent and excellent customer service. He's thought of by his colleagues as a great role model and mentor for new staff.
Ken was delighted to receive his award, "It feels brilliant to win and to be recognised in this way."
To add to his achievements, you may have noticed Ken's new Costa pod that has landed in the staff area of the food court to speed up staff service and to allow visitors to the food court to benefit from shorter coffee queues. Ken's coffee pod will shortly be open to staff from 7:30hrs to 14:00hrs, Monday to Friday.
