The Rosie Hospital
This monthly award celebrates exceptional staff who have made a difference to patient care and supported their colleagues. The award certainly seems to have caught people's imagination and again there were lots of nominations received patients, visitors and staff. Chairman, Dr Mary Archer and Chief Executive, Dr Gareth Goodier made the presentations with colleagues and friends joining in to celebrate.
Karen Sherbourne was nominated because she consistently goes above and beyond the call of duty in her role of sarcoma nurse practitioner looking after young people with cancer. One of her patients comments: "Everything she does makes a difference there isn't just one moment when she's been amazing, she is always amazing!"

The second winner this month is Roland Papp who was singled out for his high standards and conscientious approach to cleaning Ward C9. His colleagues comment that: "There is a lot of work for one person but he consistently performs. Nothing is too much trouble for him. All the staff on C9 and HDU really appreciate the level of effort he makes on a daily basis."
