The Rosie Hospital
This month 60 members of staff were nominated.
The winners:
Sue Jaques, Midwifery Care Assistant, The Rosie
Sue joined the Trust a year ago after many years as a care worker in the neurology and mental health fields. She received two nominations: one from her manager, Celia Nicol, and the other from midwife Rachel Kirk. Both nominations focus on Sue's enthusiasm for her role, for being professional, polite and caring at all times and being able to communicate well with both staff and patients.
In addition, the paediatricians recently congratulated Sue on noticing and reporting on a baby who was feeding poorly and had an unusual lump. This turned out to be a fractured clavicle.
Celia said: "There is always so much to learn with a new job, but Sue has tackled it quietly, but with oodles of confidence. She is like a sponge, soaking up everything to deliver the standard of care that we expect. She's always willing to go the extra mile with a smile. She is a fabulous role model and has been an inspiration to numerous members of staff."
Sue said: "This job is different, but I really enjoy it. You come across issues that you've dealt with before that you can use here, such as mental health. At the Rosie you get so many opportunities for developing your career - they really help and support you - especially my mentor Liz Crooks - to do the things you want to do."

Angie Youngs, Paediatric Diabetes Nurse, Weston Centre
Angie has worked here since completing her training in 1986 and has been based in the Weston Centre for almost five years.
Angie was nominated by a 14-year-old patient, Hannah Day. Her nomination reads: "Angie has always been there through thick and thin for me and has helped me improve my diabetes so much. When I was first diagnosed I was so scared but you could always guarantee that Angie would come bustling into the room with a great big smile on her face.
"She has made my year. She is always on the end of the phone when I have any problems and is always excited to see me when I go to clinic. My parents would agree that she has changed me a lot from a scared, useless diabetic to a confident well controlled diabetic. Thank you so much!"
