Addenbrooke's Hospital
Research and Development
The Rosie Hospital
This month 54 members of staff were nominated.
The winners:
Christine Baron, Trainer/Facilitator, HR
Christine joined the Trust in 1978 and after a break to raise her family she worked as a member of Bank staff in many departments. In 2003, she joined HR and now her role is split between leadership and employee development. Christine provides a range of training courses including recruitment and selection, and plays a major role in coordinating the corporate induction programme.
In her leadership role, Christine helps to coordinate the Management Forum and the Leadership Academy, which has supported 250 leaders in the past three years. This month, Christine received her second nomination for a YMAD award, this time from manager Lynda Morrisroe for her outstanding contribution to the success of the Addenbrooke's Leadership Academy.
In presenting the award, the chairman Mary Archer said: "I invite speakers to the Leadership Forum, and Christine does all the organisation for it, so I'm very grateful to her on a personal basis." Christine, whose husband and daughter were present at the ceremony, said "Thank you to everyone I work with - it does make a difference working with such a great team."

Sheralee Harpur, Oncology Bed Manager
Sheralee joined the Trust as a ward clerk on D9 and has worked in Oncology for 17 years. She took on her present role in June 2007.
Sheralee received nine nominations from a range of colleagues, including nurses, consultants and ward clerks who all praised her hard work while remaining calm under pressure. She is always approachable, friendly, kind and compassionate.
One colleague said: "If patients knew the length she goes to for them, they would nominate her too... As a member of the 'behind the scenes' staff I feel she does not get the recognition or appreciation she deserves. There is no doubt that this aspect of patient care has been immeasurably improved by her appointment."
