Dr Xiaomei Ouyang
Xiaomei has worked at CUH for eight years, four of those in the Motility Unit. Since November 2009, Xiaomei has received 16 nominations commending her kind and gentle manner when dealing with patients and complimenting Xiaomei for being polite, efficient and for explaining everything in detail. One patient even went so far as to say that they would happily go through all the tests again, such was the empathy and great care they were shown.
Andrew Bowles
Andrew joined CUH in 2005 as an HCA and has worked in his role as physician's assistant (PA) since February 2008. A popular member of his team, Andrew was nominated by patients and colleagues who highlighted his cheery personality, exemplary clinical skills, and empathetic manner towards patients. Christine Ward, Andrew's manager said: "A lady was talking to me at a function and when she found out where I worked, told me about her father who had been admitted to A&E and how kind and caring one of the team was to her father and family.
