Medical Physics and Clinical Engineering

Clinical Engineering is responsible for the management of all medical devices used within CUHFT and is comprised of several departments.

The work of the clinical engineering and medical devices department involves managing the lifecycle of devices, from procurement, maintenance right through to decommissioning. All of which adds value to a cost effective solution that ensures appropriate medical devices are available to meet clinical need.

Mechanical Engineering together with the R&D department look forward to developing new and interesting projects set up to support the development of healthcare technology in the region. This facility exists to support the requirement of delivering high quality and innovative patient care.
