Car parking charges - how your money is spent

Cambridge University Hospitals -  Addenbrooke's and the Rosie - are one of the largest and busiest Trusts in the country. Car parking income is greater than at some other hospitals with the fact that more people come here and we provide more spaces.

NCP (car park 1) and Indigo (car park 2) were responsible for the build of their car parks. Both companies are responsible for the maintenance, security and staffing in their car parks.  No funding has been taken away from patient care budgets to support the management of theses car parks.  Each car park operator manages an element of the patient and visitors parking Car park 1 has 700 spaces and Car park 2 offers 350 patient and visitor spaces

Both car park operators offer a range of discounted tickets available for outpatients, patients receiving treatment and regular visitors.  Approximately 16,000 car park users parking in Car park 1 receiving a discount on their car parking each month and around 5,800 discounted tickets issued by Car park 2.
