Training Opportunities

A list of training for our researchers

Good Clinical Practice (GCP) training

It is policy of the Trust that all staff involved in clinical trials have to undertake GCP (Good Clinical Practice) training. The Trust accepts certification of training done in the last two years. The R&D Department organises two types of training: tutor-led and on-line.

Tutor led GCP courses

Half day GCP courses are held at Addenbrooke’s hospital and are led by Shirley Hallam. The courses provide an informal but intensive overview of the fundamentals of GCP and also introduce The Medicines for Human Use (Clinical Trials) Regulations. Refresher courses are aimed at those who have undertaken the full course within the last 2 years.

Full training                         4 hours  incl. a ½ hr. Research Governance – cost £60
Refresher                            2 hours  – cost £30
Dept. Specific                     3 hours – cost £30

For more information and to subscribe to the course, please contact sylvie.robinson@addenbrookes.nhs.uk or call 01223 348490 (x58490)
