Dr Mike More, interim Chair of the Cambridge University Hospitals (CUH) Board of Directors, has been appointed as the substantive Trust Chair.

Dr Mike More

The Council of Governors yesterday approved the appointment of Dr Mike More to the post of substantive Chair. Mike was appointed to the post of interim Chair following Jane Ramsey’s resignation in 2016. He was previously Vice-Chair.

Mike joined the CUH Board of Directors in September 2013, bringing extensive experience from health, transport and local government.

Mike began his career at the National Audit Office before moving to Cambridgeshire County Council where he held a number of increasingly high-level positions. He was appointed as the Director of Resource Management at Suffolk County Council in 1999, progressed to the position of Chief Executive in 2002 and joined Westminster City Council as Chief Executive in April 2008 until the end of 2013.

Mike also has considerable experience in non-executive roles, acting as Chair for the Prince’s Trust for Suffolk and the East of England Regional Chief Executives’ Group as well as the Central London Resilience Panel.

Roland Sinker, Chief Executive said: ‘I am delighted that Mike has been appointed to the post of substantive Chair, and I look forward to continuing to work with him.’
