We are applying the strengths of Cambridge's basic immunological research to selected clinical problems in the fields of immune-mediated and infectious disease, and translating the results into new diagnostic and therapeutic approaches. Work will focus on:
Groups supported by the theme are implementing novel therapies and developing new diagnostic monitoring of autoimmune disease. Studies on the role of neutrophils in lung diseases, and on the genetics of IBD promise to improve our understanding of these important clinical conditions.
