We will build on basic science studies in oxidative stress, placental transport, genomic imprinting, maternal-fetal immune reactions and application of gene array to develop:
- an integrated method of screening pregnant women to determine their risk of adverse perinatal outcomes and
- identify novel genetic and molecular markers for adverse perinatal outcomes.
