Do you have a research idea?

13 May, 2009

Do you have a research idea that you would like to develop into a proposal to attract research funding?

The National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) for the East of England aims to work with health and social care professionals and service users who want to improve the services they deliver. We can provide consultative advice and can also help to build collaborative research teams in order to develop research proposals which are patient focused.

We will work with you to develop and strengthen research design so that initial research ideas can become strong research proposals that will attract research funding. We are actively looking to support any health or social care professional as well as service users or service user organisations who are particularly interested in research that has a direct benefit to patients (although our support is not restricted to this area).

Expertise is available on the following topics:

  • Research Design
  • Quantitative and Qualitative methods
  • Health Economics
  • Statistics
  • Clinical trials
  • Systematic Reviews
  • Ethics
  • Patient and Public Involvement in research
  • Research funding
