£110 million health research fund confirms elite biomedical status for CUH
Cambridge University Hospitals and the University of Cambridge have been awarded a record share of an £800 million government research fund, confirming the city’s status as one of the country’s elite Biomedical Research Centres.

The Centre for Applied Medical Statistics (CAMS) is a group of medical statisticians engaged in collaborative research and teaching.
This year the Eastern England Diabetes Local Research Network has been allocated approximately £119,000 of Flexibility & Sustainability Funding (FSF) by the Department of Health. FSF is provided to attract, develop and retain the research workforce necessary to deliver high quality health research. The funding is non recurrent and for up to one year, and can only be used to fund salary costs
There are three deadlines for applications (1st August, 20th September, 20th December 2009). Applications will be considered by the Eastern DRN Executive Group and the Eastern DRN host organisation representative.
