Under the scheme, run by NHS Innovations East, they will help identify ideas to improve healthcare and patient experience in the hospital, inspire colleagues to come forward with suggestions, and provide guidance on intellectual property.
Stuart Thomson, head of medical technology at NHS Innovations East, said: “We hope that their training will enable them to put innovation higher up the agenda at their Trust. The scouts’ role is a very important initiative in promoting the identification, adoption and dissemination of innovation throughout the NHS in the East of England and we will be looking to expand this scheme in the future.”
