How to access the Rosie when you are in labour

Rosie Hospital

The main entrance of the Rosie is now closed to allow for the construction

of the Rosie extension. Access to the Rosie Hospital is via the Addenbrooke’s Treatment Centre (ATC).

Please park in the Patient and Visitor Treatment Centre Car Park which is situated on Keith Day Road. If you feel that labour is progressing too rapidly, there are clearly signposted maternity drop-off bays outside the ATC.

Enter the ATC through the revolving doors (or press the intercom for access at night). Turn left and walk along the corridor until you see a slope on your right. Walk up the slope and through the double doors. You will see Lady Mary Ward on your left. You are now on Level 2 of the Rosie.

If you are attending the Midwife Led Birth Unit (also known as The Rosie Birth Centre), walk through the next three sets of double doors. The Birth Unit is on your left.

If you are attending the Delivery Unit, please take the stairs on your left or the lifts on your right up to Level 3 and follow the signs.

Parking

A concessionary ticket costing £3 is available on the day of your baby’s birth from the Rosie reception between 07.30-17.00 Monday-Friday and from the ATC reception outside these times.
