The Rosie Hospital
We are seeing a rise in the number of cases of norovirus (winter vomitng bug). Visiting restrictions are in place.
Do you remember the Queen's visit to "New Addenbrooke's" in 1962?
We would like to hear from anyone who can share their experience of the royal visit. Were you there? Did you see the Queen?

Expecting a baby? Help train medical staff
If you are pregnant and your baby is due to arrive between November 2011 and early March 2012 you can help train medical students.
Extra intensive care cots have been added to the Rosie’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Four new cots take the total up to 17 in NICU, which cares for sick babies.
Tina Pollard, Clinical Service Manager, said: “We can care for more babies in with these extra cots and that’s a great step forward for babies and their families. These cots are very advanced and help us care for very sick babies who may be premature or require surgery."
The cots will be officially launched with a ribbon cutting celebratory lunch party.
Tina added: “New staff have been recruited and are continuing to join our team to staff the cots. It’s been a busy time for all the staff so we wanted to organise an event as a big thank you for all their hard work and dedication."
The launch took place on Monday 17 November in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
NICU admits more than 700 babies each year and is the lead centre in East Anglia. The unit receives referrals of the most critically ill babies in the region and, if necessary, outside the area.
