Staff achievements were celebrated at the second annual Our Way Awards on Monday.
In a heart warming ceremony worthy winners of the staff award schemes were recognised for their hard work and dedication to the Trust values of kind, safe and excellent.
Winners were celebrated in the following categories:
Georgey and family
Georgey received many nominations over the year for You Made a Difference and was very strongly supported by his colleagues when he was named a You Made a Difference monthly winner in April. Nominations praised his kindness, reassuring manner and excellent communication skills.
You can read more about Georgey and the other deserving winners of the monthly You Made a Difference awards in the Our Way Awards 2010 brochure available to download below.
Before and after the ceremony guests mingled over refreshments supplied by event sponsors ACT and enjoyed listening to a harpist.
They also had the chance to look at photos of the 24 You Made a Difference winners in 2010, see displays about the other awards and pick up information about Radio Addenbrooke's.
Radio Addenbrooke's provided music for the ceremony which was imaginatively tailored to each winner. Highlights which drew the biggest laugh from the crowd included 'The First Cut is the Deepest' to accompany the surgical team's success and 'Always on my Mind' for Neurosciences.
Chairman Dr Mary Archer said: "We strive for excellence in all we do. It's good we can recognise good work in this way. This is our chance to recognise those who have made a difference and delivered excellence to the Trust."
