The Rosie Hospital is part of the Cambridge University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and is closely affiliated to the University of Cambridge Clinical School. Parents with babies within the Rosie may meet a variety of students as well as nurses, midwives and doctors who have completed their basic training but are now taking specialist courses.

 

To be effective mentors/teachers, staff may use details from a parent's or baby's case notes. In addition, these trainees need clinical, 'hands on', experience. All students are supervised closely and information is treated confidentially. It is hoped that parents are comfortable with this and do not object. If there are concerns, parents should let the staff know.
