My current role
As well as being a consultant, I was appointed as clinical director for MSK services in Cambridge. I am responsible for the clinical management of trauma and orthopaedics, rheumatology and pain medicine.
Previous history
I graduated from the University of Glasgow in 1992. After qualification, I worked in hospitals in Glasgow and Ayrshire, completing early medical training. In 1998 I commenced specialist training in anaesthesia and pain medicine, based in Cambridge and working in hospitals throughout East Anglia. On completion of specialist training, I was appointed a Fellow in Pain Management at St Bartholomew's Hospital in London.
