Family therapist - complications of excessive weight service

I am a family therapist.

If a man is called to be a street sweeper, he should sweep streets even as Michaelangelo painted, or Beethoven composed music or Shakespeare wrote poetry. He should sweep streets so well that all the hosts of heaven and earth will pause to say, 'Here lived a great street sweeper who did his job well

Martin Luther King Jr.

My current role

I am currently working in the paediatric psychological medicine services for children, young people and families. I am based in two teams the CEW (complications of excess weight) and PPS (persistent physical symptoms).

I meet with different members of a family to help build on the families strengths and relationships.

Previous history

I have worked in child and adolescent mental health services and multisystemic therapy teams for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Foundation Trust.

Membership and accreditations

I am a member of AFT (the Association for Family Therapy and Systemic Practice) and UKCP (The UK Council for Psychotherapy).

Personal interests

When I am not at work I like to watch Korean dramas, listen to audiobooks and bake gluten free biscuits.
